Google Universal Analytics is Going Away- Now What?

Google Universal Analytics will be going away on July 1 2023 and Google Analytics 4 is replacing it. While the new version is more innovative and offers automation, the downside is that your historical data will be of little use when it comes to comparing statistics and looking at trends.

Googles claims are that the new interface will provide automated insights about the customer journey and improve marketing ROI.

What To Do?

First it might be a good idea to export all of your data for future reference. Google plans to remove all Universal Analytics data 6 months following the update. That would be around December 2023.
