Before the end of April 2015 Google plans to up the anti on mobile website marketing.  The change is likely to make it difficult for websites that are not up to Mobile standards, to appear in the top results for mobile devices and that lower traffic volume will impact your page ranking for Desktop devices.

  • Build a mobile dedicated website and redirect mobile users to the mobile friendly version of the site when a phone or mobile device is used.
  • Use a Responsive design for your website which allows the site to flex in size and move Panes that are side by side into a vertical order.  This is a good option if you would like to reduce the labor required to update the site because you only have to manage the information once.

Note that there are advantages and disadvantages to both and there are some other options depending on the current design of your website so talk to one our Internet Consultants before you make a change you might regret later.

The most important thing is to remember that your website is your best sales person.  It works 24-7 to bring you quality leads.  The early investment you make in going mobile will pay you back over and over again as your competitors who do not go mobile will continue to loose page ranking to you.  The converse is true as well….Do not go mobile and you will loose page ranking to your competitors.
