WSI’s Community Involvement

At WSI, we strive to be actively involved in cities all around the world. Our global presence gives us ability to maintain our social responsibility across the numerous communities that need our help. The tenets of WSI’s community involvement revolve around the words of Mother Teresa: “It’s not how much we give, but how much love we out into giving.”

Make Child Poverty History

One of the primary ways WSI provides support to people in need is through our Make Child Poverty History program (MCPH). The MCPH organization is an ongoing global program that mobilizes resources and brings together individuals and organizations in an effort to eradicate child poverty. The initiative began when WSI board members decided it was time to take more active steps to end child poverty on a global scale. To find out more or get involved yourself, please visit the MCPH website or watch the video below.

2013 Race Across America

The focus of WSI’s 2013 community involvement effort is the 2013 Race Across America, which aims to raise proceeds for the Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation.

WSI, MCPH and ReachLocal are geared to support Kathy Roche-Wallace, a member of the WSI cycling team, who also happens to be a 2011 RAAM record-holder in the Solo Woman’s 50+ division. This year, Kathy is aiming to beat her personal record and complete the race in less than 12 days.

Kathy’s race will be dedicated to raising funds and boosting awareness of the Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation (CNCF). The 3,000 mile race begins on June 11 and the contributions collected will work to support Kathy and her Race Across America, and then distributed 50/50 between CNCF and MCPH. With the worldwide exposure generated by the event, we can all help to bring awareness to both of these causes. Together we’ll be helping improve the quality of life for children across the globe.

Many marketing agencies suggest they are the best company to work with because they specialize in your businesses like yours. Perhaps they offer a website platform that is designed for your business segment. It is true that the company that specializes in a single segment can offer some benefits however it is important to separate the actual marketing of your business from some functional benefits of at specialized service. Why? If, for example, you own a furniture store and you use the same marketing company that your competitors do, it is likely that your marketing dollars will not as beneficial as they could be. The reason for that is that marketing research done for your company is likely to be shared with your competitors by your marketing agency that represents more than one furniture store. If your competitors use the same marketing techniques as your company your efforts will be diluted and not beneficial. Better Marketing Make sure the marketing company you select can commit to giving you exclusive service.  Exclusive service should mean that they do not work other companies in your industry or not with your direct competitors. When you develop a successful marketing campaign you will be glade your marketing company is not in touch with your competitors.
